Stretching - Mobility - Flexibility

Say hello to some of my best friends! I can not stress enough how important stretching and foam rolling is!  As  we are more and more stationary with our lives, we are becoming less flexible, putting added stress on our bodies, and our over all health is suffering.  Even if you exercise and lift weekly without the stretching and rolling you are setting yourself up for injury!

I regularly use a foam roller, massage ball rolling out tension combine with bands for stretching and light resistance to get key strength training and warmups in.  Helps me avoid pain and more importantly helps this 40 year old avoid future injury!

Finally Back Online

After being a non-nerd for almost 6 months finally getting life back in line and a regular schedule so going to get back at this blog.  I've been using my Private FB group for tracking in and reporting but its a bit restrictive.

For those that aren't aware, Wylie TX was devastated in April 2016 by some pretty wicked hail the size of softballs.  We were out of our house for close to 4 months as they made repairs.  1st month out I was able to keep strong with the gym and the diet but by the second month the will power died do to the surrounds and before I new it, 3 months had passed and I had lost muscle mass and put on 16lbs.  Spent the past 6 weeks getting back in the grove and its getting there.  Still about 6lbs of fat to loose before i get back to where I was but its getting there.

These videos are from March 4th, 2016 are meant to use for reference for where I was able to get and to check my form (which needs help in certain areas - others I have already made adjustments to).

This is a Pull Day (Back, Biceps, etc...)

Push Day (Chest, Triceps, Shoulders, etc...)

Leg Day - I HATE MORNING GLORIES!!!! FORM SUX
My Squats I've been working on mainly thru mobility and stretching

My music preferences change and depending on my GYM mood my play list changes.  Usually though its pretty heavy and lots of bass.  I tend to turn the music on, tune people out, and get my business done.  Mind set is I am there to get weights and stuff in not chit chat.
